What West Michigan facility managers say

Floor coating services

The whole floor, from grinding to top coat

Surface prep is what decides whether a coating lasts. We own the prep equipment and self-perform every stage.

Epoxy Floor Coatings

Seamless, chemical- and abrasion-resistant epoxy for warehouses, manufacturing plants, garages and commercial kitchens.

Polished Concrete

Mechanically polished concrete that gives you a hard, low-maintenance, high-light-reflectance floor without a coating.

Polyaspartic & Fast-Cure

Fast-cure systems that let you hand the space back in a fraction of the downtime a traditional epoxy needs.

Sealers & Densifiers

Densifiers reinforce the slab from within and sealers repel spills and dirt — less maintenance, longer floor life.

Shot Blasting & Diamond Grinding

Removes contaminants, strips old coatings and profiles the slab so the new system actually bonds.

Decorative Coatings

Decorative quartz, vinyl colour chip and metallic finishes, plus anti-slip additives and safety aisle striping.

Why H&H

Why facilities trust our floors

A floor coating fails at the prep stage, not the top coat. That is where most of our work goes.

Certified on many systems

We hold certifications to install a wide range of epoxy and resinous systems, so we specify what your floor needs — not what we happen to stock.

Downtime planned, not guessed

We phase and schedule around production, shipping and service hours so the building keeps earning while the floor cures.

Prep equipment in-house

Shot blasters and diamond grinders are ours. No waiting on a subcontractor and no shortcuts on surface profile.

One-year warranty, no deposit

Our self-performed floor work carries a one-year workmanship warranty, and no deposit is required to get on the schedule.

Safety-first crews

OSHA 30 project managers, OSHA 10 and First Aid field staff, and background screening on everyone who enters your facility.

A named project manager

One contact coordinating with your maintenance team and every other trade, reporting daily from mobilisation to final walk.

How it works

How a floor goes in

Five stages. The first two decide the other three.

Assess the slab

We test and inspect the concrete, check moisture, and ask what the floor has to take — forklifts, chemicals, wash-downs.

Specify the system

We recommend the resinous system that matches the use, not a one-size product, and quote it in writing.

Prep the surface

Shot blasting or diamond grinding to strip contaminants and cut the profile the coating needs to bond.

Repair and build

Joints filled, cracks and spalls repaired, then the base, broadcast and body coats go down.

Top coat and hand back

The wear coat, anti-slip if specified, a final walk with you, and a one-year workmanship warranty.

Our guarantee

A floor that outlasts the quote

Our self-performed floor coating work carries a one-year workmanship warranty, and our No-Surprise Guarantee means the quoted number is the invoiced number. We use industry-leading coatings, from commercial paints to high-performance resinous systems.

  • One-year workmanship warranty on self-performed work
  • No-Surprise Guarantee — quoted price is the final price
  • No deposit required to schedule
  • Certified on a wide range of epoxy systems
  • Anti-slip finishes and safety aisle striping available
  • Full cleanup and a punch walk before we leave

Common questions

Questions facility managers ask us

How long will my floor be out of service?

It depends on the system. A fast-cure polyaspartic can be back in service in a day, where a traditional epoxy build needs longer. We tell you the real number before you sign, and we phase work so only part of the floor is down at a time.

Do you do residential garages?

No. H&H is a commercial and industrial contractor — warehouses, plants, kitchens, schools, healthcare, locker rooms and public buildings.

Why does surface prep matter so much?

Nearly every coating failure traces back to prep. Shot blasting or diamond grinding strips contaminants and cuts the profile the coating needs to bond. We own that equipment and never skip the step.

Can you fix a failing or peeling floor?

Yes. We regularly strip and re-coat floors that were installed over bad prep, and we repair damaged concrete, joints and spalls before the new system goes down.

What about slip resistance?

We add anti-slip aggregate where the space needs it — kitchens, wash-down areas, ramps and locker rooms — and we lay out safety aisle striping.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Licensed Michigan contractor, fully insured, PCA Accredited, and certified on a wide range of epoxy and resinous flooring systems.

Which areas do you cover?

Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Battle Creek and Holland, plus Muskegon, Jackson, Allegan, St Joseph, Coldwater, Sturgis and Big Rapids.
